UT Researchers Hope To Create Drug To Treat Alcohol Addiction

The University of Texas’ Waggoner Center For Alcohol and Addiction Research received a $3.3 million dollar grant from
the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcohol in hopes to develop a drug to treat alcoholism. The five year project will include genetic research on lab rats to source the brain triggers involved in treating alcohol addiction.
