One-Third Of Adults Under 30 Have No Religious Affiliation

In a growing sign that major religions have lost relevance in the affluent West, one third of young adults under 30 have no religious affiliation. While the cause of this is unclear, much of it could be explained by the growth of acceptance of non-belief as a social norm. Modernization has undermined the local, tribal community where traditional religions thrived. The Internet has allowed for people to find like minded individuals without the need for social conformity.
