Hurricane Sandy, Rising Oceans, and Global Warming

Debates in our culture are increasingly polarized. This is especially evident in the debate over global warming. In such sharply polarized situations, two sides typically speak past each other, with no real meeting of minds. The enemy here is vague generalizations and drawing prejudicial conclusions from them.
