Indiana University just released results from a study involving scarab beetles which indicates that male and female genitalia evolve quickly and parallel to one another. The researchers carefully studied beetle populations separated by 50 to millions of years and concluded “parallel evolutionary divergence in male and female genitalia” is a very real, true thing.
