During the early 1970’s the creative genius between poet/author Shel Siverstein and Dr Hook & The Medicine show (a popular Southern rock band) resulted in some great music. With Dennis Locorriere on lead vocals, guitar, bass, and harmonica, George Cummings on guitar, Ray Sawyer on vocals, and keyboardist Billy Francis, the group played many songs penned by Silverstein. In fact, Silverstein wrote much of the band’s earlier albums and the results were incredibly moving.
